Secure Device Management with AWS IoT Core

From manufacturing to de-commissioning, developers must protect their IoT application from hacks and safeguard user privacy through every stage of their application lifecycle. Cypress has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to make device management secure, easy-to-use, and cost-effective with Cypress’ PSoC® 64 Secure MCUs and AWS IoT Core.

Secure

PSoC 64 Secure MCUs come with a hardware-based root-of-trust to support secure onboarding with AWS IoT Core through a "use your own certificate" model. In addition, PSoC 64 features secure boot and firmware updates with AWS IoT Core. For runtime security, the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core in PSoC 64 operates as a security co-processor isolating secure functions from the rest of your application.

Easy-to-use

PSoC 64 AWS Standard Secure MCUs have been FreeRTOS qualified and designed to work seamlessly with AWS IoT Core. All a developer needs to do is focus on their application running on the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core. Secure firmware deployed on the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core takes care of the rest.

Cost-effective

PSoC 64 Secure MCUs can be securely provisioned and deployed at scale. Cypress has worked with third-party HSM and programming partners to deliver cost-effective, secure provisioning services, eliminating the cost and overhead in deploying your own secure HSM.

PSoC 64 Secure MCUs

PSoC 64 secure microcontrollers are based on the award-winning, ultra-low-power PSoC 6 architecture. PSoC 64 devices utilize the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ as a secure co-processor. This secure co-processor establishes a secure processing environment with a root-of-trust used for secure functions such as onboarding and firmware updates.

Cypress makes it easy for you to design with AWS IoT Core. With ModusToolbox and included AWS IoT support, you can securely and easily connect your application to AWS IoT Core.
