Smart Mail Box

This project implemented a smart, cloud-connected, ML driven Mailbox for the home. It used all of the components on the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit: PSoC 6 to process motion sensor data and drive the TFT display, the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth radio to transmit to an iOS mobile and AWS, and F-RAM for data-logging.
Audio Sensor Node

This project consists of implementation a very robust audio processing program on PSoC 6. It records audio samples with the PDM mic on the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Prototyping Kit, converts that to PCM data which is transmitted via Wi-Fi to an interactive dashboard.
IoT Food Monitoring

This project implemented an IoT Food Monitoring system powered by PSoC 6 MCUs and Wi-Fi along with AWS Cloud Services. A RFID module was interfaced with the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit and scanned grocery item barcodes in an enclosure and transmitted that to a mobile app hosted on AWS.
Smart Weighing Scales Case Study

The Smart Weighing Scales design win’s ideal solution was the Lantronix xPico 240 Embedded IoT Gateway hosting Cypress’ CYW43907 Arm Cortex-R4 Dual-Band 802.11n Wi-Fi MCU. This module provides world-class Wi-Fi, antenna diversity, and enterprise Wi-Fi security enabling rapid time to market.
Voice Recognition

This innovative project implements voice recognition at the edge for an IoT Node using the PSoC 63 MCU with Bluetooth LE connectivity. The developer creating this project generated and trained a voice recognition model to take action off of specific keywords commonly used.
Home Automation Hub

This project implemented a Home Automation Hub. The “PSoC 6 Control Center” aggregated multiple sensor nodes including: a door opener node, lighting node, alarm node, door bell node, etc. and then transmitted this sensor data to AWS as well as drove a graphical display.
Connected Drone Ground Control

This project added the capabilities of PSoC 6 and Wi-Fi to a NanoDrone project. The developer here created a connected “Ground Control Unit” for his drone. The PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit interfaced with an Arduino LoRaWAN Dev Kit and sent to AWS IoT Core as well as an AWS IoT SiteWise Portal.
Smart Air Quality

With rising pollution levels worldwide, as well as the rise of smart homes and smart buildings, air quality monitoring is becoming an important capability for IoT engineers to design into their devices. Cypress’ PSoC 6 MCU and Sensirion’s air quality sensors are the ideal choices for these systems.
Smart Home PoC

Smart Home PoC project aims to bring to life multiple common, automated functions such as: touch UI in appliances, intruder detection and alert using motion sensor, noise detection via PDM Mic, light control via ambient light sensing, and more. Alerts and info are then display on a TFT.
Alexa Skills Demo

This innovative project showcases how to leverage Alexa Skills to control “things” in an IoT System. When an Alexa Device (Amazon Echo in this case) is instructed, the PSoC® 6 MCU along with Cypress Wi-Fi/Bluetooth is used as an IoT subscriber to control the speed of a fan.
IoT Guided Meditation

Meditation is an extremely effective method to reduce stress. PSoC 6 and Wi-Fi were used to add intelligence “Singing Bowl Therapy”. PSoC 6 drove the motor to spin the bowl, and Wi-Fi was used to connect to AWS IoT Core to store different meditative tracks.
Smart Camera Case Study

Smart Garden

A fully implemented and functional Smart Garden powered by Cypress Bluetooth® Mesh. CYW20819 Bluetooth 5 MCU powered nodes control LED lights, opening/closing of a mailbox, and irrigation system. All mesh nodes are controlled by Cypress’ Bluetooth Mesh Android® App.
IoT Billboards

This is an IoT Billboard system – where users could “rent” an IoT Billboard through a website that the project creator built. That website interacts with a database that stores rental details. AWS IoT pulls the billboard images from this database, then sends to be displayed on the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit.
Elderly Fall Detection

This project leverages the CYW20819 to implement a machine learning powered automatic fall detection IoT device. Providing a fast response to medical emergencies for the elderly is critical – as such this project shows the power of IoT in transforming healthcare.
Smart Pill Dispenser

This project recognized the benefits that IoT devices can have on an aging population that needs to take multiple different types of medication throughout the day. This Smart Pill Dispenser project create an Alexa skill that when initiated, dispensed a particular pill with a small Servo Motor driven by PSoC 6.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)

This project showcases Arrow’s own Dev Kit: Quicksilver which features Cypress Wi-Fi. A cloud-connected ECG is created where PSoC 5 analyzes and outputs the ECG waveforms, and Quicksilver then pushes that data to IBM Watson IoT Cloud for analytics/health diagnostics.
Smart Sump Pump

This project implemented a Smart backup Sump Pump – essentially a device to remotely monitor water level in a basement. This project leveraged the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit to monitor Floor Water Sensors, and then transmit that data to AWS IoT Core which would text users water level alerts.
Cloud & Blockchain Demo

In this project the PSoC 6 MCU is running Zerynth’s virtual machine thus enabling python development on the PSoC 6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit in Zerynth® Studio. Sensor data is streamed via Wi-Fi to the cloud with CapSense® button presses initiating Ethereum Blockchain transactions.
Plant Moisture Control

This project is a Plant Moisture Control system implemented with multiple CYW20819 mesh nodes using CYBT-213043-MESH. A moisture sensor was attached to each mesh node and put into an enclosure to protect the PCB. Water density mapping was implemented across the nodes.
Smart Tea Kettle

This Smart Tea Kettle can adjust water temperature based on the type of drink being made – as well as turn on or off remotely enabling the perfect cup every time. The CYW20819 Arduino® Eval Kit is used to create this prototype within the Atmosphere® low-code web IDE.
Environmental Mesh Sensor Network

This project shows how easy it is to add external sensor nodes into Cypress’ Bluetooth Mesh solution. It is a part of a workshop series Arrow Electronics is hosting with Cypress and ADI called: Demystifying Bluetooth Mesh: Easily Design Reliable and Secure IoT Networks.
Tire Pressure Monitoring

This Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) set out to implement Bluetooth Mesh in a car. 4 mesh nodes of the EZ-BT™ Bluetooth Mesh Development Kit were attached to each of the 4 tires of a car. Each node streams sensor data to a central hub (CYW20819 Arduino Eval Kit).
Smart Thermostat

This project shows how to build a cloud-connected Smart Thermostat prototype using the PSoC 6 MCU and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dev kit, along with external sensors and a TFT Display shield. Development is done in Arm® Mbed OS and this project is featured in a full online workshop.
Smart House Demo

This Smart House Demo was created within the Atmosphere low-code web IDE. It leverages the CYW20819 Arduino Eval Kit to create a project that reads the kit’s on-board sensors, then sends data to a mobile app that can control lights and a small fan in the Smart House.
Pollution Monitoring

Pollution is an ever-growing concern globally. This project showcase some of the merits of Bluetooth Mesh for this application by showing how mesh nodes within a Pollution Monitoring system can gather sensor data on combustible gas and smoke levels within an area.
Smart Water Dispenser

This project features Arrow’s own Dev Kit: Quicksilver which features Cypress Wi-Fi. A Smart Water Dispenser tracks water remaining and daily water usage. Water levels are sent to the IBM Watson IoT Cloud and PSoC 5 is used in the project for Gesture Control with CapSense®.
