Tunable White Light
Color plays an important role in the way we perceive objects. A particular object can appear in different hues and shades based on the light source used to illuminate the object. Often, the most commonly used light source is the white light. White light might appear simple to generate, but if we analyze it minutely, we understand that it is actually a mixture of several visible wavelengths. A variation in any of these component wavelengths can render different shades of white light. This article aims to analyze and understand the various parameters involved in generating the white light of required characteristics. We will also look at the art of mixing the basic RGB colors to generate white light and how to control RGB LEDs to generate the different characteristics of white light.
