This application note describes how to build an infrared thermometer using PSoC® 1. This application note also discusses the theory of Infrared thermometers in brief. This design uses no external active components to buffer, amplify, and detect the signal source.
Introduction
Infrared thermometers are widely used in medical and industrial applications.
- They measure temperature without any contact with the object for measurement.
- They measure a wide range of temperature.
- Their accuracy is comparable with other types of thermometers.
