SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Integrated system to gather data and control your existing plant or building

All of Cypress Systems’ products fit into an overall seamless system to enable sensing and control of existing plants. Our layered architecture allows both standalone functionality as well as easy integration with existing plant networks and automation systems.

Field Devices Layer:

  • Wireless Gauge Reader (WGR) - reads manual dial gauges and transmits reading wirelessly
  • Wireless Transducer Reader (WTR) - reads transducers and transmits reading wirelessly
  • Wireless Range Extender (WRE) - extends wireless transmission range of readers

Data Acquisition and Control Layer:

  • Blue Box Receiver and Server (BBR) - gathers and stores data from Cypress wireless field devices
  • Analog Output Wireless Receiver (AWR) - gathers data from Cypress wireless field devices and interfaces to analog input cards on existing plant automation system

Plant Information Layer:

  • Built-in software and database in Blue Box has optional OPC, BACNet, SECS/GEM protocols for integration with existing plant automation systems (e.g. Wonderware, Cimplicity, RSView , Experion, DeltaV, ProcessStation etc.)*

Human Machine Interface Layer:

  • Built-in software and web server in Blue Box enables desktop PC access via simple browser
  • Optional user interface via existing plant automation system

WIRELESS GAUGE READER (WGR)

Read manual dial gauges and transmit the data wirelessly
  • "Clips-on" to existing manual dial gauges and transmits data to Cypress Blue Box Receiver and Server
  • Non disruptive – no need to remove old gauges, break pressure seals, or run wires
  • Enables data logging to enable trend analysis, notification, or statistical process control
  • Battery life of 2-3 yrs under typical sampling rates
  • Wireless range of over 300m
  • IP65 / NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Robust Cypress wireless protocol (millions of units deployed over past three years)

WTR

WIRELESS TRANSDUCER READER (WTR)

Read analog transducers and transmit the data wirelessly
  • Reads virtually any analog transducer or instrument with 4-20mA, 0-5V, or 0-10V output, and transmits data to Cypress Blue Box Receiver and Server
  • Non-disruptive – no need to change out transducers, break pressure seals, or run wires
  • Compatible with most existing particle counters, temperature loggers, weigh scales etc.
  • Enables data logging to enable trend analysis, notification, or statistical process control
  • Battery life of 2-3 yrs under typical sampling rates
  • Wireless range of over 300m

  • Built-in web server allows simple browser access to data from any LAN connected PC
  • Built-in two-way Text Messaging for sending notification messages as well as on-demand data request from cell phones/PDA’s

  • Enables data logging to enable trend analysis, notification, or statistical process control for exhaust and abatement applications
