Harry Sim, CEO

Harry Sim, CEO

Harry Sim founded Cypress Systems in September 2006.

He joins us from Honeywell, where he was most recently the Global Vice-President of Marketing for the Industrial Process Control business. Through his 15 years with Honeywell, he has held executive positions in General Management, Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Internet Startup founder. He worked in Asia Pacific and in Europe for over ten years in the Industrial, Building Automation, and Sensors divisions.

Prior to Honeywell, Mr. Sim worked for GE Aerospace and also NASA Mission Control in Houston, where he was the Payload Director for Shuttle Flight STS-40 in 1991.

Mr. Sim holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Stanford, and an MBA from Insead in France.

Marcus Kramer, VP Engineering

Mr. Kramer leads our overall R&D and product development effort. He has over eight years of experience within Cypress Semiconductor including managing the wireless and firmware teams, and serving as business unit director of the Human Interface Devices division. He is highly knowledgeable in applying semiconductor technologies to end applications.

Prior to Cypress, Mr. Kramer held engineering positions with Mitsubishi, HP and different startup companies focused on automation and automotive industries.

Mr. Kramer holds BS and ME degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

Steve Kim, VP & General Manager, Products

Steve Kim, VP & General Manager, Industrial Division

Steve Kim oversees the strategic direction and business operations for the industrial products business. In his six years with Cypress Semiconductor, he has served as Design Manager and Project Manager for Automotive Camera Systems and as Corporate Strategic Marketing Manager. He has extensive experience in opto-electronics and image analysis algorithms.

Prior to Cypress, Mr. Kim worked for Adaptive Optics Associates, a division of Metrologic, leading various industrial product engineering programs.

Mr. Kim holds BS degrees from MIT in both Electrical Engineering and Management Science.

Ramesh Songukrishnasamy, VP & General Manager, Buildings Division

Mr. Songukrishnasamy oversees the strategic direction and business operations for the building products business.

He was previously with Honeywell and led their New Product Development and Value Engineering Centers of Excellence. Ramesh has extensive experience in Asia and in the US related to Building Automation, Aerospace, and Industrial Controls, and was the Vice President of Engineering for an Internet startup in China.

Mr. Songukrishnasamy holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Bien Irace, VP Sales

Bien Irace heads up Sales and Business Development for Cypress Systems. She comes with eighteen years of experience at Cypress Semiconductor, where she was most recently the Senior Vice-President of Worldwide Sales.  During her time at Cypress Semiconductor, she was part of the first Strategic Accounts program that the company formed in 1993, created the Contract Manufacturing Sales organization in 1996, led the Global Distribution channel in 2002, and was the General Manager for the SRAM Product Line in 2004.

Prior to Cypress Semiconductor, Ms. Irace held engineering and marketing positions with National Semiconductor.

Ms. Irace holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California in Davis.

Bob Booton, VP Operations

Mr. Booton oversees the Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics operations. He joins us from The Booton Group, an Operations and Supply Chain consulting company that he founded. Working with mid-market companies from High-Tech to Industrial to Consumer, his teams provided outsourcing and operations support. While at the Booton Group for eight years, he developed and managed complex supply chains in Asia, Mexico, and Europe to reduce cost and eliminate inventory. He is the author of "Outsourcing-in-a-Box" and a lecturer at seminars promoting best practices for outsourcing.

Prior to The Booton Group, his career of over 20 years included working for Compaq Computer, Sun Microsystems and Solectron where he held executive roles in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and Outsourced Manufacturing.

Mr. Booton holds a BBA degree in Business Management from Texas Tech University.
