FX3 3-D Imaging Demo

Last Updated:

This video demonstrates the benefits of EZ-USB FX3 in 3-D Imaging applications. In this demo, GPIF II is connected directly to two monochromic image sensors that are self-synchronized. Then, FX3 packatizes the two video streams, one from each image sensor, into USB traffic and sends it to the PC. With two image sensors, the camera produces a 3-D stereoscopic image that creates the perception of depth. The 3-D stereoscopic image can be used by PC software to track finger, eyeball, and object movements in 3-D space.
