The Cypress GL NOR Flash family is optimized for the voltage, density, cost-per-bit, reliability, performance and scalability needs of a wide variety of embedded applications. Each device requires only a single 3.0V power supply for read and write functions and is entirely command set compatible with the JEDEC Flash standards.

The Cypress AL NOR Flash family is a standard mode Flash with extended temperature support. Each device requires only a single 3.0V power supply for read and write functions and is entirely command set compatible with the JEDEC Flash standards.

The Cypress AS NOR Flash family is a standard mode Flash. Each device requires only a single 1.8V power supply for read and write functions and is entirely command set compatible with the JEDEC Flash standards.

The Cypress PL NOR Flash family supports page-mode operation which increases data throughput to improve system performance. The family also is capable of performing simultaneous read and write operations with zero latency on four separate banks. Each device requires only a single 3V power supply for read and write functions and is entirely command set compatible with the JEDEC Flash standards.

MirrorBit is the world’s most advanced NOR Flash process technology and is optimal for high densities.  MirrorBit stores two bits per cell which enables the highest density Serial NOR Flash Memory.  Cypress is the only supplier that offers MirrorBit as well as a portfolio of industry standard Floating Gate based NOR Flash Memory.

Automotive Infotainment Systems

The automotive infotainment system integrates the automotive navigation systems and entertainment systems and allows both systems to access the vehicle’s audio system and displays. This allows the navigation system to interrupt the entertainment system and communicate important driver information, like directions or traffic information, without the driver needing to intervene. These systems use nonvolatile memory to store settings, status, and navigation data on power loss.
