Cypress's WICED Wi-Fi portfolio includes IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions that provide up to 150 Mbps PHY data rates and integrate powerful 320 MHz ARM® Cortex®-R4/M3 MCUs for host-side applications. Cypress provides a full-featured WICED Wi-Fi Software Development Kit (SDK) and is working with partners to deliver turnkey hardware solutions of various form factors to readily enable Wi-Fi connectivity in system designs. To get started, a series of Partner Development Kits are available for development and device prototyping.

Cypress supports WICED Wi-Fi customers through its global network of IoT partners using production-ready, fully-certified modules based on the SoC families showcased below.  Modules are available with both internal and external antennas along with a range of range of digital interfaces like QuadSPI, PWM, USB, SDIO, UART, I2C, I2S, USB and MII/RMIII Ethernet. In addition, several modules integrate dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) power amplifiers (PA) that meet the output power requirements of embedded systems, low-noise amplifiers (LNA) for best-in-class receiver sensitivity, and internal transmit/receive (iTR) RF switches, further reducing the overall solution cost and printed circuit board area. Optional antenna diversity also allows for improved RF performance in difficult environments. Amazon AWS, IBM Bluemix and other cloud platforms are also supported to enable a turnkey solution for customers.
