FleXO™ High Performance Clock Generator
FleXO™ is one of the Industry’s most flexible family of Low Jitter Clock Generators with RMS Phase Jitter (12 kHz to 20 MHz) as low as 0.6 ps, Programmable frequency of 50 MHz to 690 MHz, Tunable frequency margining with 100 ppm precision, and Differential LVPECL and LVDS outputs.
Voltage, temperature, component variation/failure, and other board level parameters can affect system clock frequency and thus system performance. System designers can simulate system clock frequency variations by adding extra components such as crystal oscillators or signal source selectors. FleXO integrates this functionality in a feature called Frequency Margining, allowing the system designer to choose from a set of custom preset frequencies using pin selects, or any desired frequency through I2C programming. FleXO’s Frequency Margining feature easily allows Frequency Margin testing during design, component qualification, and production testing without requiring extra BOM components.
