Zhongxing Technology Recognizes Cypress as Top SRAM Supplier

Leading WAN Company in China Recognizes Cypress for Overall Cost-of-Ownership, Quality, Support and Delivery Performance

SAN JOSE, CA., May 12, 2005 -Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: CY) today announced that it was ranked as the #1 SRAM and specialty memory supplier by Zhongxing Technology (ZTE), one of the largest WAN equipment makers in China with annual revenue of $4 billion. The ranking is based on overall performance of SRAM vendors during the past year.

According to ZTE, there are many factors contributing to the ranking, including overall cost of ownership, quality, responsiveness to ZTE's requirements, technical support and delivery performance. During the past year, Cypress SRAM revenue at ZTE has grown over 200%, outpacing all other SRAM vendors.

"We are pleased and honored to receive this award from one of our strategic accounts in Asia," said Bien Irace, vice president of Cypress's SRAM business unit. "We highly value our relationship with ZTE, and we are looking forward to bringing this partnership to the next level. This recognition demonstrates Cypress' commitment to our customers in China, and we are determined to continue to strategically invest in technology, people and infrastructure in order to provide best-in-class support to all of our customers in China."
