Cypress Transfers SPLDs, MAX340" CPLDs, and FLASH370i" CPLDs to Arrow/Zeus Electronics, Ensuring Supply and Long-Term Product Support

Last Updated: February 08, 2006

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 8, 2006 - Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: CY) today announced an agreement to transfer all remaining die and finished goods inventory for its FLASH370i™ CPLDs (Complex Programmable Logic Devices), MAX340™ CPLDs, and SPLDs (Simple Programmable Logic Devices) to Arrow/Zeus Electronics, a North American Components division of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW).

The agreement allows Arrow/Zeus Electronics to continue to serve the needs of military and aerospace customers who rely on the devices for important systems; Arrow/Zeus Electronics anticipates that this inventory will provide a continued source of supply for all customers without the need for any lifetime buy activities. The agreement does not include Cypress's Ultra37000™ or Delta39K™ CPLDs, both of which Cypress continues to support directly.

"This transfer agreement is consistent with Cypress's commitment to provide our customers with long-term product support," said Dinesh Ramanathan, vice president of Cypress's Data Communications Division. "Arrow/Zeus is a long-term, trusted partner for Cypress and has built a reputation for outstanding support for the military and aerospace market."

"The transfer of Cypress inventory to Arrow further reinforces Arrow/Zeus Electronics' commitment to supporting the Hi-Rel customer base," said Don Schlidt, vice president and general manager, Arrow/Zeus Electronics. "We recognize the unique needs of military and aerospace customers and continue to provide innovative ways to support those needs."
