Synchronous GPIF transfers using internal clock source

Last Updated: March 20, 2011

How do I setup synchronous GPIF transfers using the internal clock source?

When the clock source is selected as internal in GPIF designer, the gpif.c file generated will have configured the IFCONFIG register such that the GPIF interface operates asynchronously by default. In order to configure the GPIF interface to operate synchronously with the internal clock source, the bit IFCONFIG.3 (the ASYNC bit) should be cleared without changing the other contents of the IFCONFIG register. This will setup the synchronous GPIF interface between FX2LP and the external device.
