Maximum baud rate supported by the EZ-USB

Last Updated: September 11, 2011

What is the maximum baud rate supported by the EZ-USB?

The  EZ-USB (AN2131) supports baud rates up to 57.6 K as a standalone part using the internal clock. Using an external clock signal applied to the T2 pin you can get different baud rates.  The T2 pin is  sampled internally and can therefore only accept an input of up to 3  MHz.The highest standard baud rate that can be generated is 115.2K using T2 = 1.8432 MHz.T0 and T1 have the same 3 MHz input limitation so you won't be able to generate a higher baud rate with them either.
