Erasing or Updating Firmware on an EEPROM When the Control Panel Isn't Available
How is it possible to update the firmware in the EEPROM interfaced to an FX2LP once the device is bound to a custom driver?
This can be done in two ways:
1.Remove the EEPROM enable jumper on the board. Plug in the USB cable, and the board will be recognized as "...EEPROM missing" in the EZ-USB development tools. Replace the EEPROM Enable jumper to the enable position and reprogram the EEPROM.
2.Modify CyUSB.inf to include the new VID/PID of the device and update the device driver from device manager.. Now you can reprogram the EEPROM from the EZ-USB development tools.
