EEPROM missing

Last Updated: December 27, 2011

The customer is having problems running a new development board. They enable the EEPROM and the device manager always shows the EEPROM is missing.

The device manager reporting that the EEPROM is missing means that the contents of the EEPROM were not interpreted as a boot load code. The codes which have meaning are 0xB0 and 0xB2 for the AN2131 series part.

-The 0xB4 and the 0xB6 codes for the FX (CY7C64613) series part.

-The 0xC0 and the 0xC2 codes for the FX2 (CY7C68013 series part.

Any other codes within the EEPROM will be reported as no EEPROM connected.
