CY7C68300 / CY7C68300A -- ATA polling.

Last Updated: March 28, 2011

Can the AT2 be set to polling mode, rather than relying on the ATA IRQ signal?

The AT2 is configured by modifying the first 16 bytes in the EEPROM (0x00-0x0F). The configuration bits/bytes are defined in the EZ-USB AT2 data sheet. Unlike previous bridge chips such as the ISD-300A1, the AT2 uses INTRQ instead of polling to improve compatability with a larger number of peripherals. The ability to use polling is not an option in the AT2.
