CY2304 Behavior on Removal of Input Reference

Last Updated: September 11, 2011

Can the PLL in the buffer free run for up to 1us after the loss of the input reference with no glitches. How is the behavior?

The signal at the PLL output remains for the minimum of 2.3uSec after the input signal is shut off. This free running output frequency drifts slowly but no glitches are observed in any case. The observation was done under 3.3V power supply at room temperature. The different reference frequencies tried were 33MHz, 66 MHz, 100 MHz, and 133MHz.
