What are the crystal requirements for WirelessUSB LS?


Below are the WirelessUSB crystal requirements:

  • Nominal Frequency: 13MHz
  • Operating Mode: Fundamental Mode
  • Resonance Mode: Parallel Resonant
  • Frequency Stability: ?50 ppm
  • Series Resistance: ?100 ohms
  • Load Capacitance: 10pF
  • Drive Level: 100uW


General notes: To achieve the performance specified in the data sheet, the maximum frequency deviation between any two WirelessUSB radios must never exceed 100ppm. The closer the frequencies, the greater the range.

All of the load capacitance is provided to the crystal by WirelessUSB; no external capacitors are required.
