Calculation of SNR

Last Updated: September 10, 2009

Question: How to calculate SNR in db?
Decible = 20 log (Signal Amplitude/ Noise Amplitude)

Consider noise counts are 4 and signal counts are 10.

SNR(dB)= 20 log (10/4)=7.99dB

Second  case, consider noise counts are 5 and signal counts are 75.

SNR(dB)= 20 log (75/5)=23.52Db
