Bulk Command Failures with an ISD-300.

Last Updated: June 18, 2011

Bulk commands with a DTL of 0xFFFF will fail on UDMA devices with an ISD-300.

This is a known bug in the ISD-300, ISD-300A, and ISD-300A1 architecture.  This transfer length is not allowed in PIO mode, but is valid in UDMA mode.  The ISD-300 rejects the command either way and issues a soft reset.  The issue is corrected in the ISD-300LP.

Please note that theISD-300, ISD-300A, ISD-300A1 and ISD-300LP  are obsolete and the functional replacement is AT2LP.  All the related collaterals of AT2LP can be found in the link here
