wanted to know if there is way to program cy8ckit-049-42xx to J7 of the pioneer.
J7 is the program/debug header for the onboard PSoC5 device.
As far as I know the PSoC5 device on the pioneer kit is equipped with an bootloader, so you can write firmware for this device. However, in this case you'll loose the debug capability for the PSoC4 device. If you need the debug capability again, you've to restore the debug firmware on the PSoC5 device.
Please check the pioneer kit users guide.

The Pioneer Kit does not come not with an installed bootloader. The PSoC5 on the boart acts a s a bridge. Somebody has already posted a hack to use the Pioneer to program / debug other PSoC4 boards. Look at Pavloven's post near end of this thread www.cypress.com/ .
I obviously like double negation, although it was not ment so.
hi thank you all for your support, I seek is a way to program cy8ckit-049-42xx so that do not fill the whole rom memory, as I have done projects that do not fit within the PSOC, because of the bootloader. regards
thanks'll check the wires.
Lastly, if you can afford the money, there is alwasy the MiniProg 3 which is able to program *ANY* PSoC (from 1 to 5) and additionally being capable to supply the PSoC or even the board with power. A much cleaner solution than a hacked Pioneer.
