I ws looking at the part numbers and noticed a few devices with like CG8001AA. they are significantly cheaper and seem like they are PSOC4 devices but with out a clasic partnumber code.

what is the difference with other CY8C42xxx like devices? .

It looks more like a placeholder to me. From the specs its like 4245PVI. But the prices are all the some for 1s or 1000s quantity, so I guess they are not parts you can order directly.

digikey has +400 in stock and selling at $1 for single quantities. Seems crazy cheap.

Strange. Farnell has some of them too. Maybe I should order one of them with my next order...

I asked Cypress and got a reply:

Q: CG8000AA looks like PSoC 4200 series device but is not listed in datasheet under ordering information.
Are there any differences between  CY8C4245AXI-483 and CG8000AA?

A: CG8000AA is a custom part # for CY8C4245AXI-483. We do not provide datasheets for Custom parts online. Your local rep can help advise which part would be best to purchase.

Thanks  for the info laurynas. So this parts probably won't be available on distributors once they are depleted, so I better stock up :)
