Is it possible to connect 4 uart at a time on CY8C4125AXI
the 41xx series doesn't have UDBs, so you only have the two SCB-UARTs. However, you also have four TCPWM blocks, so it should be possible to use them to emulate a UART. It depends on the desired baudrate.
You can try bit ganging /software UART if the speed is not too high.
Also that SCB-UART is not availiable for PSoC4.
Just a note, the SW UART from creator are TX only.
No SCB UART PSOC 4 ? I placed and compiled one in a example design.
When you use a Cy8C4245 you have the opportunity to use the internal 4 UDBs. So you may have up to 5 UARTs in half-duplex availlable.
Just compiled some tests, I can extend to 3 UARTs, anyone getting more than that?
Forgot to mention: on a CY8C4245
The alternative is to mux one UART ......create a master / slave command
ack, a simple protocol, to share.
On page 2 of scb UART V1.20PSoC 4000 devices support only I2C modes. The UART or SPI mode choice is not available.
May be Cypress needs to update the spec.
