i need to use CY8C38 Processor module without development board. is it possible??
i need to use only gpio pin.
Yes, but you need to suply the obvious -
2) Clocks, xtals if external used
3) Debug/program interface header to use Miniprog3 if thats what
you plan on using.
Consult module schematic for necessary connections. Also CY8CKIT-001
motherboard schematic. To see what interface was implemented with
the processor module.
Small correction: the crystals are already on the module (or can be added there), no need to have theme external. You really need all 4 headers since each one has one of the Vddio power rails (and they must either be used or connected to ground). There are non-populated resistors to connect them together, that might work to.
I think you can get the connectors from Samtec as samples (RSM lines, 32 pins).
You are right hli, I never noticed xtals underside of module. The LF xtal
would be easy to replace, but the 24 Mhz looks like a challenge, the
way it was assembled.
thanks to both for the help.
is it possible to open the this CY8CKIT-009 PSoC® CY8C38 board design files on eagle?
They are Gerbers, Eagle will open them, just google "open gerber files
eagle", you will get a few hits.
AFAIK there is no (free) support for importing ORCAD files into Eagle.
A number of tools here at their site -
