how can i make RS485 interface with PSOC1???
is that any related appnote or project available???
There is no appnote, but you can use the UART and an additional pin for hardware Tx enable. External drivers will be needed.
They have IC's that performs this function. Do a Internet search for Rs485 devices.
Here is a data sheet on one of the IC's
can i use max485 for same interface with psco1?
Yes but you will need to add the chip and the required power supply for that chip.
Some of the chips run off a single 5v source and will drive a serial buss.
i have been reading on RS485. it need one master and one slave device. but can i use PC as master ?????
if yes than what kind of device i have to attach with pc to make it master???
is that USB to RS485 convertor???
You do not need a master or a slave. RS485 defines a serial interface and its electrical specifications. In a peer-to-peer connection there are exactly two devices connected. Each device may send and receive data.
An RS485-USB converter will help you, the PSoC is connected with the interface chip to the 485 and the UART is plugged into the pc. Probably there will be an emulated COM-port on the PC side which you can see using PuTTY terminal emulation.
Thank you bob!!
i want to use MODBUS on RS485 ???
