CY8CKIT-014 General Purpose Push Button Switch - Cypress.com Forums http://www.cypress.com/? Re: CY8CKIT-014 General Purpose Push Button Switch http://www.cypress.com/?rID=85974 When you define the pins in thw design wide resources, you get shown what special functions are on a pin. Also, the CyFitter process (which does all the internal routing) tells you when you use a pins reseved for special function. And if there is a conflict it tells you so...

Also check -001 lit schematic, some pins dedicated externally so you

cannot use as GPIO.

I have the similar kit as you do. Do you mind walk through this with me? I tried to follow the "My First Five PSoC 3 Designs"

with CY8CKIT-014 and I had no luck due to different pins number. I am not sure which pins are suppose to be connect. Please help me thorugh this. Thanks!

Re: CY8CKIT-014 General Purpose Push Button Switch http://www.cypress.com/?rID=48982 Hello Kishore,

thank you very much. I've changed the Drive Mode to Resistive Pull Down and the Initial State to Low.

After changing the IF-conditions in main.c it works fine.

Kind regards,

Simon

Re: CY8CKIT-014 General Purpose Push Button Switch http://www.cypress.com/?rID=48980 Hi,

There are some differences between CY8CKIT-001 and CY8CKIT-014. In the later one (First Touch Kit), the switch has to be pulled down internally instead of pulled up for CY8CKIT-001.

So you may need to change the pin drive mode to Pull Down. Please let me know if this works.

Regards,

Kishore.
