Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44375 Any ideas how to fix the USB driver problem. The usb driver reports : miniprog3(unconfigured). Windows finds the driver but won't install.

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44370 I just installed my new Miniprog3. Same problem!!  I looked at the hardware properties.

Message: Miniprog3(unconfigured). Windows 7 64 bit seems to be the problem. I am trying to see if this is a fix for the USB driver. This is very frustrating. Oh well No pain no gain.

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44292 Thanks for the feedback. When I plug the USB cable into my PC I see 4 LEDS turn ON then OFF after about 1 second. I do not see any LEDS. I ordered a new one today.

Thanks for the help

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44277 If the MiniProg3 is plugged into a PC (and nothing is connected to the MiniProg3's ribbon cable) then you should at least see the green 'Status' LED light up.

Does your PC see the MiniProg3 in its device manager?

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44256 Thanks for the quick feedback. I am not sure what I need to do for the miniprog3. It was working fine with my PSoc 3. I installed the software from the PSoc Kit. It appears to be the same as the old one? I put my PSoc 3 back in the SDK and it now does not work. I do remember that Cypress did have an update for the miniprog3. I have Rev *A. When I plug my miniprog3 into a USB port. I see (4) leds flash then go out. Is my miniprog3 toast?

Thanks

Philip

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44249 How are you trying to program the device?  Are you using the program option from PSoC Creator or PSoC Programmer?

If it's PSoC Programmer, what version of PSoC Programmer are you using?

Re: miniprog3 wont work with PSoc 5? http://www.cypress.com/?rID=44233 I just recieved the PSoc 5 SDK. I can't connect the miniprog3 to the jtag connection. It can't find any device. Am I overlooking something? I am very anxious to try this new MCU.

Select "PSoC Programmer 3.10.1 Beta" from the table at the bottom of the page.

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=41920
The STATUS LED should be green and on all the time.

Your second red LED could be Target Power which should not be on. You cannot power the DVK from the MiniProg3 - you need to connect the power supply to the board (I am sure you have done that). To stop "trying" to power the board go to the Creator Tools menu, select Options, then Programmer/Debugger, then MiniProg3 and uncheck "Supply Vtarg". It sounds more convoluted than it actually is! However, I doubt that will actually fix the problem but it is worth a shot.

What version of Creator do you have? I suspect/assume/hope it is Beta 4 (use the Help-About to check) but let me know...

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=41918 As of Beta 4, which was released at the end of November, Windows 7 should work without running in compatibility mode. We did not have time to test it as thoroughly as we will for Beta 5 and beyond, but it should install OK. Let us know on this board if that's not happening!

Re: miniprog3 driver for windows 7 http://www.cypress.com/?rID=41911 Why Windows 7 is not officially supported yet, many people have had success by manually installing the MiniProg3 driver with Windows 7. It's important to note that this workaround only works with the 32-bit version of Windows 7 and does not work with the 64-bit version.

What source do you have for this? I couldn't find any information that even talked about windows 7. I also have the 64-bit version so that sucks for me. Any word on when there will be a solution?]]>
