Using optical feedback to design a more robust high-brightness-LED system

High-brightness LEDs are touted as the next big revolution in lighting, but there are several challenges when it comes to lighting design with LEDs. The addition of a color sensor to provide a feedback loop can alleviate many challenges and ensure accurate and reliable color output. Implementing optical feedback unearths additional challenges, including sensor selection, calibration and placement, as well as control mechanisms.
