PRoC-LP RDK (CY4672) provides an exemplary implementation of a low-power, 2.4 GHz bi-directional wireless keyboard, mouse, and USB bridge based on Cypress' PRoC-LP single-chip MCU & RF combo SoC.

PRoC LP RDK (CY4672) provides an exemplary implementation of a low-power, 2.4 GHz bi-directional wireless keyboard, mouse, and USB bridge based on Cypress' PRoC LP single-chip MCU 2.4 GHz transceiver. Schematics, source code, firmware and RF gerber files are provided as an accelerated starting point for PC Human Interface Devices (HID) designers wishing to cut the cord on their HID applications.

PRoC LP Mouse - The RDK mouse is a three-button optical mouse with scroll wheel. Based on the CYRF69103 PRoC LP for Peripherals and the Avago 3040 optical sensor.

WirelessUSB LP Keyboard - The RDK keyboard is a 101-key keyboard with  multimedia keys (internet, mail etc) and power keys. Features AES 128-bit encryption and bi-directional communication for toggling CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK LEDs. Based on the CYRF6936 WirelessUSB LP radio SoC and CY7C60123 Wireless enCoRe II MCU.

PRoC LP Bridge/Dongle - A single-chip USB bridge based on the CYRF69213 PRoC LP for Bridges. Features support for Microsoft Windows Vista HotStart (Direct Application Launch) via two dedicated IOs.

WirelessUSB LP RDK CD-ROM - The CD contains the documentation, example code and hardware design files - everything you need to design a wireless keyboard and mouse.

In the latest update, Cypress introduced an upgraded version of its wireless protocol incorporating Dynamic Data Rate (DR) and Dynamic Power Amplification (PA) features. This new version AgileHID(TM) wireless protocol is specifically designed to overcome interference from emerging 802.11n networks, which, along with cordless phones, microwaves and other devices in the 2.4 GHz band, can severely hamper the performance of wireless peripherals. Cypress' Best-in-Class protocol will help our customers' products be prepared for 802.11n interference.

Key Features

  • 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM band for worldwide usage
  • 10 m wireless range
