Introduction

The HOTLink II™ family of physical layer (PHY) devices is a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications building block that provides serialization, deserialization, optional 8B/10B encoding/decoding and framing functions. The independent channel HOTLink II devices have independent transceivers that have separate reference clock inputs (Independent Clocking) for each channel.
