Archive Version of PSoC Express 3.0 And Final Rollup Express Pack (EP6)
This is the final release of PSoC Express 3.0 and its all inclusive update, Express Pack 6a. It is an archive version because Cypress recommends using PSoC Designer 5.0 for new designs. All new features and functionality will be added to PSoC Designer 5.0 and its later revisions, as it is an all encompassing replacement for PSoC Express 3.0. This archive version is made available to support previous designs that may require using PSoC Express 3.0. No new features or further updates are planned for PSoC Express 3.0 at this time, however. Express Pack 6a is a complete rollup of all previous express packs, including EP6. EP6 was more commonly known as "EZ-Color Express Pack with ColorLock Optical Feedback and Drivers for Cree, Nichia and OSRAM HB LEDs". The difference between EP6 and EP6a involves registration of the default HI-TECH C compiler for users who only install PSoC Express 3.0 and EP6 on their machine. Otherwise the two express pack versions are identical. If EP6 were previously loaded and problems with selecting HI-TECH as the default C compiler encountered, installing EP6a will correct the problem. For full capability, you need to install the following: PSoC Express 3.0 from the Downloads box at the top of the page. Download and install Express Pak 6a. - PSoC Programmer 3.00.0.91 from the Downloads box at the top of the page.
- After installing PSoC Express 3.0 and Express Pack 6a, do not install any other previously available express packs. Doing so will result in unstable operation or unexpected results. EP6a is all inclusive of previous express packs and is all that is required for a complete set of PSoC Express 3.0 functionality.
