Breaking News! New release available, 3.00.0.91

PSoC Programmer is Cypress' flexible integrated programming application for programming PSoC(R) devices. It can be used with PSoC Designer 5.0(TM), PSoC Designer 4.4 (TM) and PSoC Express 3.0 (TM) integrated development environment (IDE) as an integrated programmer or as a standalone programming application. The latest release of PSoC Programmer and its release notes can be downloaded from the Downloads box at the top of this page.

New for 3.00.0.91 is:

1. Added support for the new PSoC(R) device families CY8C20x46, CY8C20x66 and CY8CPWR0x, CYONS2xx.
2. PSoC Programmer 3.00 utilizes a new language neutral COM object architecture. This will allow developers the ability to design unique applications using the COM object. Please see the COM object user guide for additional information.
3. PSoC Programmer 3.00 institutes 3 configurable separate GUI views, Classic Modern and Simple. Please see the User Guide and Release Notes for more information.
4. New GUI features, only for Modern View. Please see User Guide for detailed descriptions:
       -Programming Status Bar
       -Abort Programming Button
       -Visual Port Selection
       -Auto Chip Detection
       -Disable/Enable Programming Verification
       -Hex File Path display
       -Erase Flash Block
       -Clear/Erase Device Button
5. PSoC Programmer 3.00 has improved updating options and features. These new features include Fixed, Automatic Web Update, and Disable Reminder.
6. PSoC Programmer 3.00 also contains bundled software inside the Root installation directory under the Bootloaders and USB-I2C Bridge Folders. These folders contain the Cypress Bootloader applications as well as the USB-IIC Bridge Software which can be used with the CY3240-IIC Bridge Kit.
7. PSoC Programmer will give the user the ability to turn off the verification procedure when programming devices. This is intended to be used in a prototyping environment to help reduce programming time.

Installation:
PSoC Programmer 3.00.0.91 will coexist with a PSoC Programmer 2.33.0.1 installation. The user must install PSoC Programmer 3.00 after installing 2.33.0.1. Issues have been seen if 2.33.0.1 is installed after installing PSoC Programmer 3.00.0.91. This issue is detailed in the Release Notes.
