What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover Credit Cards.

When and how will my credit card be charged?
When your order is processed, Cypress will authorize the provided credit card for the order total. Your account will show a pending transaction during this time. Once the items ordered have shipped, we will collect the funds from the credit card.

How can I check the status of my Order?
To inquire about the status of a store order placed online, please click on MyOrders under MyAccount on the website menu or click here. For any other questions or to inquire about the status of an order placed via the phone, please contact us by email here

Why can’t I use a post office (PO) box addresses?
Cypress uses FedEx to deliver all shipments from the online store. FedEx only delivers to physical addresses. That is why you must enter a street number and street name for your address. Post office boxes are not allowed.

How much will custom charges on International Shipments be?
Additional Value Added Taxes and custom fees may be incurred on your store purchase if it is being shipped to a location outside the United States. The amount you will be charged for duties and taxes depends on the customs of a particular country. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate as each country has its own ways to calculate what should be paid on a shipment entering its borders.

Does Cypress ship devices to every country?
Cypress is not able to ship all devices to every country. Export regulations, prohibitive taxes or tariffs, and availability of delivery service limit where Cypress can send products. If you enter a request that cannot be delivered, Cypress will send a cancellation confirmation email message to you.

Can I provide my or my company’s Fed Ex or UPS account number for Cypress instead of paying for shipping and handling?
No, unfortunately this is not allowed. We cannot ship on your submitted account numbers, shipping and handling is added to every order, and cannot be avoided by providing a third party account number.

Can I make a purchase with a Purchase Order?
At this time, we do not accept company purchase orders to use as payment for the purchase of any item on the store. Only valid credit cards listed above are accepted on the store.

I received my order, but there is no invoice inside. Will you send me an invoice?
Invoices may be printed online on the MyOrders web site confirmation page of your order. This can be found under MyAccount on the website menu or click here. Once you have logged in, click the order number on the MyOrders page. This will show you the confirmation page of your order and serves as your official receipt.

Search for what you need through our Authorized Distributors or contact your local Sales Representative.

 

Kit Orders

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
All orders are shipped via Fed Ex to most countries. Based on stock availability at the time of your order, orders received on or before 2PM PST (23:00 GMT) Monday through Friday will be shipped the next business day by the shipping method you selected.
Unless you have selected the overnight option for your order, your order will ship via ground services or in the case of international orders, via Fed Ex International Economy Services. Fed Ex does not deliver on weekends or major holidays. For example, the typical transit days for an order leaving Cypress on Monday afternoon to deliver in Maine, would take five business days. Therefore, it would deliver on the following Monday. For more information regarding the status of your shipment and the transit time, please contact Fed Ex International Customer Service at 1.800.247.4747.

Can I place an order over the phone?
No, at this time we cannot accept orders over the phone.

Development Kit Return Policy
Development kits that are unopened and undamaged may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date. Exchanges for another product can also be made, however if the full amount of the exchanged product is higher than the product returned, you are responsible for paying for the difference. If purchasing a product with a lower total amount, a refund of the difference will be made.
Purchased products that are defective and were purchased within 90 days of the purchase date may be sent back to Cypress for a replacement unit. Please see the Cypress Sales Terms & Conditions for more information.

 

Device and Sample Orders

Does Cypress offer samples?
Yes, Cypress offers samples for over 1000 active devices to design engineers to support their new product designs and to qualify Cypress products in existing designs. These are the majority of standard devices that Cypress recommends for new designs. You can request these samples from The Cypress Store. The list of available devices changes frequently with the addition of newly released and the removal of selected devices.
Cypress reserves the right to refuse requests from users who abuse this good-will offer of samples.

Can I get free samples from Cypress?
Yes. Free samples are available by contacting your local Cypress Sales Office or  Authorized Distributors.

How often can I request samples from Cypress?
The maximum number of requests varies by user and depends upon what type of Cypress customer you are.

How do I request products from The Cypress Store?
To request products, you must be registered in cypress.com. After you log in to cypress.com there are a few steps to generate a request:
1. Find and add the devices you need to your shopping cart
2. Select the quantity of each device.
3. Verify your shipping address and the products you entered.
4. Answer a few questions about how you will use the samples.
The Cypress Store web pages lead you through this process.

Are students and professors able to get samples?

If I need a device that is not on available on The Cypress Store, what should I do?
If the device you are looking for is not available from The Cypress Store, contact your local Cypress Sales Office or Distributor..

Why does Cypress ask about my application and end equipment?
This information is used two ways. Cypress asks for this design information to better understand how our products are being used. This helps Cypress to provide better solutions for your applications. Additionally, US Government export regulations require Cypress to know certain facts about how the products will be used and by whom.

When will my order be shipped?
Cypress ships orders received by 2 PM PST (GMT -8) the same day if the device is in stock. When your request is shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation message by email. This message will show what was shipped, to where it was shipped, and give the FedEx tracking number for the shipment.
Your request can be delayed if the information is not complete or is not valid. Your request must have your name, company name, street address, and telephone number. This information is required to ensure accurate delivery and compliance with export regulations.
If the device you requested is out of stock, your request will be backordered. Cypress will hold your request until they are available. You will still receive the confirmation message. The message will give you an estimated ship date. When the devices are available, your request will be shipped, and you will get another shipment confirmation email with the shipment information. You can also see the current status of your order on your MyOrders page.

How will Cypress use my request information? Will a sales person contact me?
Cypress uses the requested information to contact potential customers. The information is also used to evaluate interest in Cypress products.
Cypress does not sell or distribute your request information outside of Cypress.

Device Return Policy
All chip sales from The Cypress Store are final.  Refunds will only be offered for defective products if the refund is requested within 90 days of the purchase date. Please see the Cypress Sales Terms & Conditions for more information.

 

China FAQ

What information do I need to provide in order to ensure fast, no-charge delivery of my order being shipped to China?
If you want Cypress to clear your shipment at no cost to you, you must provide the information listed below. If this information is not provided, you must make arrangements with a China customs broker to clear the shipment, at your expense. Non-FedEx clearance will also result in delivery delays.

  • Information Required for import and delivery at Cypress cost:
    • Valid China Importer Registration Number
    • Federal Express Power of Attorney signed by representative of company or individual registered as owner of Importer Registration Number.
