Here We Go Again!

 I am surprised how many times the same solution is found. Back about 12 years ago I got interested in dithering and over sampling for resolution enhancement. I went to read the papers and found that there were a bunch from the 60s about digitizing video. Basically they said that 6 bit converters could resolve 8 bits if noise was added and the signal over sampled. The same theory shows up in the late 70s with single chip ADCs Again researchers discovered, and documented dither. Again dither showed up with the design CD players in the 80s and again the same theory and new papers.
 
I was listing to the radio and a heard a report the audio researchers have found that peoples hearing is more sensitive if there is a slight background noise. They were puzzled and I am sure there are a bunch of dither papers to follow.
 
I think maybe I will go back through a bunch of old papers and change the word “pentode” to MOSFET and republish.
