EFG Rocks!

This is my company of the month.  Here I am in Germany visiting with Markus Holzl of EFG.  This company is in the business of heat distribution and makes products for residential and commercial purposes.  One unique product they make is seat heaters for churches. Germany has a lot of extremely old churches with no central heating.  (100s of years old) To install heating would require altering walls and disturbing art work on these walls.  Also when these old building are heated the bug damage increases dramatically. (I good freeze kills all those burrowing bugs) Anyway often a service in the winter may be in a church that is a couple degrees below freezing.  Now this isn’t a big problem for the Lutherans but the Catholics just won’t stand for it. EFG has designed seat heaters that use less than 5W when the seat is not occupied and warm people when sitting in them.  They also make heat reflecting clothes for the Minister.  I like working on products that had value to the community.  Markus is an Engineers Engineer and he loves PSoC. If you look at the sign in the window is announces my visit and welcomes me.  It also has my name as “van Ess”. I told him we had to capitalize the V when we got thrown out of Holland.  They are experts at efficient heat distribution and will do better and better as oil get more expensive. Their heating system works with most any source of heat.  Check them out on the web.

Thanks for the kind words Dave.
Your visit at EFG was great honor and pleasure for me.

"Nerd talking" with the PSoC guru inspired me to further enhance and rebuild my actual
desing project to become more efficient, accurate and stable without any mircales ans spells.

And before the year is finished we want to put our new PSoc3 pwoered control units to
the tough testing at my bosses home, of which he knows every paramter at his heating
systems and hopefully it will beat the off-the-shelf programmable control units with
more efficency, less power consumed, and advanced communications feature.
All of this is done by a single Cypress PSoc3. cypress rocks. ;-)
kind regards

markus
