Semiconductor Industry News, 2013
The editors of Semiconductor Industry News gave Cypress's PSoC® 4 programmable system-on-chip architecture the publication's 19th annual "Semiconductor of the Year" award. The publication's editors nominated over 100 products from the thousands of products announced this past year, and they selected the winners based on innovative design, volume production structure, impact on society and overall potential. The editors chose PSoC 4 for its unique programmable, mixed-signal SoC architecture, and based on PSoC's track record of success in a variety of markets, including consumer and automotive.

The editors of Embedded Computing Design magazine have named Cypress's PSoC® 4 programmable system-on-chip architecture an Editor's Choice Product. They selected the PSoC 4 architecture for its combination of flexible analog and digital resources with capacitive touch technology and the 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 core.

Cypress subsidiary AgigA Tech's flagship AGIGARAM® non-volatile memory was named the 2013 Gold Medal winner for innovation in the Electronics & Computers category of the 2013 Edison Awards. The Edison Awards have honored the best in innovation and excellence in the development of new products and services for 26 years. Being recognized with an Edison Award has become one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of innovation and business.
Electronic Products, 2012
The editors of Electronic Products magazine named the PRoC™-UI (Programmable Radio-on-a-Chip–User Interface) a 2012 Product of the Year. The PRoC-UI solution combines a 2.4-GHz proprietary WirelessUSB™-NL Radio with Cypress's CapSense® and TrueTouch® capacitive touch technologies. The Electronics Products editors considered nearly 300 product entries using a set of criteria that included whether a product presented a significant advancement in technology, featured ground-breaking innovation, and offered a substantial price/performance benefit. PRoC-UI excelled in all of these areas.

Cypress subsidiary AgigA Tech was named a 2011 TechAmerica High Tech Awards winner in the Computers and Related Products category. In its eighteenth year, the annual TechAmerica High Tech Awards program celebrates excellence in the region's technology industry, and honors outstanding companies for technological or business innovation; exceptional products or service; product marketplace validation; perseverance in the face of adversity; and community involvement.

This tenth annual award recognizes the most innovative and exciting green building products added to the GreenSpec Directory during the past year or covered in Environmental Building News.

Cypress subsidiary AgigA Tech was selected as a Red Herring Top 100 North America Tech Startup. Red Herring announced its Top 100 award in recognition of the leading private companies from North America, celebrating these startups' innovations and technologies. Red Herring's Top 100 North America list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. The 2011 winners were evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration.
Digi-Key Corp. recognized Cypress for “Exceptional Sales Performance Driven by Superior Engagement” in 2010. Cypress received a trophy to commemorate the recognition.

Cypress subsidiary AgigA Tech's AGIGARAM™ Non-Volatile System was named the Most Innovative New Product of 2010 in the Hardware and General Technology category at the 23rd CONNECT Awards. CONNECT is a San Diego-based nonprofit dedicated to creating and sustaining innovative technology. The Most Innovative Product Award winners were selected from more than 100 entries within eight categories.

Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News Dealer Design Awards, 2010
Cypress subsidiary Cypress Envirosystems was recognized for excellence in product design in the 6th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by the Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News. An independent panel of 30 contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 114 entries from different industry brands. The company's Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT) was the Gold Award Winner in the Commercial Controls category.

Cypress subsidiary Cypress Envirosystems' Wireless Gauge Reader (WGR) won a 2010 Golden Gas Award from Gases & Instrumentation International. The WGR won in the Cylinders/Packaging/Valves category based on the following criteria: the product's ability to solve an important challenge to the gas industry; technological innovativeness; environmental "green" attributes; superior specifications in terms of power requirements, speed, footprint, maintenance; cost effectiveness, and other quality considerations.

EDN magazine recognized Cypress subsidiary AGIGA Tech's AGIGARAM® non-volatile system in the 2009 Hot 100 Products issue. The AGIGARAM technology is the industry's first high-speed, high-density non-volatile RAM system, delivering densities between 4 megabytes (32 megabits) and 2 gigabytes (16 gigabits) and peak transfer rates equivalent to DRAMs.

UK magazine Electronics Weekly selected Cypress's PowerPSoC® family of integrated embedded power controllers as the winner of a 2009 Elektra Award for "Power Systems Product of the Year." An independent panel of judges selected the finalists for the Elektra Awards. Now in its seventh year, the categories of the Elektra Awards have been enhanced to reflect the strength of innovation in semiconductor design and the growing importance of applications such as LED lighting and renewable energy technologies.

The editors of Design News magazine selected Cypress's PowerPSoC® family of integrated embedded power controllers as a 2009 Golden Mousetrap Award winner in the "Power Management and Control" category. PowerPSoC is the industry's first single-chip solution for both controlling and driving high-power LEDs. Connectivity Week Conference and Expo Buildy Awards, 2009
Cypress subsidiary Cypress Envirosystems' Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT) won a Buildy Award at the Connectivity Week 2009 Conference and Expo. The WPT won in the Smart Devices category for its implementation in buildings for the County of Santa Clara, California. Since 2004, the Buildy Awards have been presented to leaders, visionaries and implementers of smart devices and smart systems in the context of commercial buildings, residential, energy management and other applications.
EE Times ACE Awards, 2009
EE Times named Cypress Envirosystems a finalist for the fifth Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards for "Startup of the Year." EE Times ACE Awards are presented in 20 categories and are judged by a blue-ribbon panel of industry experts, comprised of the leading voices of academia, industry and Wall Street executives. The judges will choose winners in all of the nomination-based categories. The judges selected the Startup of the Year finalists for "excellence in business development and/or technology development processes with the potential to become a technical or market leader in the global electronics industry."

The editors of the EN-Genius Network named Cypress's West Bridge® Astoria™ peripheral controller "Best Embedded Connectivity Product of the Year." Products cited in the annual competition "will make significant bottom line numbers for the companies involved because of their strong technical merit, design innovation and marketability," according to EN-Genius editors. EN-Genius Network's Products of the Year are selected by its editorial staff from hundreds of products reviewed during the year.

The readers of ECN Magazine selected Cypress's CapSense Express™ capacitive touch sensing solution for mechanical button and slider replacement for an ECN Readers Choice Tech Award, which recognize the best new products of the year. The CapSense Express solution, which was selected in the sensor category, enables designers to implement up to 10 buttons and/or sliders in as little as five minutes – with no coding.

A comparison conducted by TechInsights in Electronic Engineering Times found that Cypress's West Bridge® peripheral controllers delivered the fastest sideloading (transfer of multimedia files from a PC to a mobile handset). The comparison discovered that the RIM Blackberry Bold phone using the CYWB0124AB West Bridge Antioch™ controller could transfer a feature-length movie in just over two minutes, reaching speeds of over 13 Mbytes per second. The other 3G phones tested took from 4.5 minutes to 38 minutes to sideload the same movie file.

Global Source's EE Times China named Cypress's non-volatile SRAMs (nvSRAMs) Product of the Year in the Memory category of the Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards. The Products of the Year recognize leadership and excellence in product design, with awards going to the product or technology that significantly impacts or has a potential to impact mainland China's electronics market. Winners were chosen by a panel of industry experts and were announced at a gala coinciding with the 12th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China 2007).

The readers of EE Times and eeProductCenter.com named Cypress's WirelessUSB™ LP radio system-on-chip a finalist for EE Times third Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards for 2007 Ultimate Product of the Year in the RF/Microwave category. The Ultimate Products of the Year are awarded to the most significant product introduced in the last 12 months in each of seven categories, as determined by large-scale peer review.

The Cypress Web Team is this year's winner of the BEA Systems' Liquid Portal Award. The team was selected for its work on developing and deploying Cypress's collaborative portal that connects IT systems and business processes and for the major redesign of the Design Resources community (www.cypress.com/go/documentation). From this community, customers can download software, datasheets, application notes, and more, and register for updates and other information.

Automotive Engineering International magazine recognized Cypress's ACM 100-1 automotive camera module as the "Top Product of the Year" for 2005 in the digital imaging category. The ACM100-1 camera consists of an image sensor, an image processor, lens, durable casing and cable assembly for automotive applications such as night vision, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning systems, collision mitigation, driver drowsiness monitoring and pedestrian detection.

The enCoRe II (enhanced component reduction) family of low-speed USB microcontrollers offers a flash-based design that enables storage of wireless binding parameters as well as in-system reprogrammability.

Cypress received a "STAR Preferred Supplier Award" in 2002 designed to recognize supplier excellence. The STAR award is presented to companies that meet rigorous product quality and delivery objectives over the course of a year. With this award, Cypress joins a select group of seven suppliers to win the award over the past two years (2001 and 2002).
Solectron awarded Cypress a "Crystal Supplier Award" in 1998. In 2002, Cypress received the Solectron "Strategic Partnership Award." These awards recognize Cypress's efforts to provide Solectron with a competitive advantage through its continued performance in supplier excellence.
In 2002, Sony shipped its 30 millionth PlayStation® 2 with Cypress clocks in the system-a significant milestone for both companies. Sony awarded a plaque to all PlayStation 2 suppliers that helped Sony meet this milestone.
Intel Corporation awarded Cypress a number of awards in previous years. In 2000, Cypress was awarded the "Stacked-Chip Scale Package (S-CSP) Engineering and Development Award" recognizing its low-power SRAM development and support for Intel's S-CSP requirements. Also in that year, Cypress was awarded an "Appreciation of Support on New Technology" for its CKDRCG clock chip (CK133). In the first quarter of 2001, Cypress received a "Best in Class Score" award of "96" on Intel's quarterly supplier clock report card. In 2000, Cypress was awarded Intel's "Certified Quality Supplier Award" recognizing its excellence in supporting Intel's demands on a superior level.
Lucent awarded Cypress a number of supplier awards. In 1998, Cypress received a "Partner in Excellence Certificate" and in 1999, received a "Partner in Excellence Certificate" from Lucent's Oklahoma City Global Provisioning Center. Both awards recognize Cypress's outstanding support of Lucent demands. In 1999, Cypress received a "Wizards and Outstanding Wonderworks (WOW) Award" from Lucent Columbus Works. In 2000, Cypress received an "Outstanding Performance Award from Lucent China" recognizing Cypress's ongoing partnership with the Lucent Technologies' Supply Network Solutions, recognizing outstanding commitment to service and quality excellence. In the same year, Cypress received a 2000 "Strategic Alliance" award recognizing it as a strategic supplier in Lucent's supply chain.
Cypress received a number of supplier awards by Nortel Networks. In 1999, Cypress was awarded the "Super Supplier Award" recognizing the company's outstanding achievements as a strategic and preferred supplier. In 2000, Cypress received the "Customer Loyalty Award" recognizing the company's outstanding efforts in customer satisfaction. Also in 2000, Cypress received the "Top Ranked Memory Team Supplier" award recognizing the team's continued excellence to meet Nortel's customer demands.
