AN62487 explains Cypress’ Powerline Communication Repeater algorithm and its implementation on CY8CPLC20

All Powerline Communication (PLC) implementations are limited by distance between nodes and the loading on the network. Cypress has developed a repeater algorithm that can overcome this limitation and makes it possible to reach any node on the network, provided there is at least one node present in range of every other node. This enables the design of a robust PLC solution especially in conditions that require high security and reliability. This application note explains the Cypress repeater algorithm which is implemented in the attached code example on CY8CPLC20 device.
