PSoC Programmer is a flexible, integrated programming application for programming PSoC devices. PSoC Programmer can be used with PSoC Designer and PSoC Creator to program any design onto a PSoC device.

Device Support:

PSoC Programmer allows the user to connect to various programming hardware. PSoC Programmer supports the following devices:

• PSoC1 (CY8C2xxxx)
• PSoC3 (CY8C3xxxx)
• PSoC5 (CY8C5xxxx)
• Cypress Clock Devices
• CapSense Express

The PSoC Programmer installation shall provide the user with more than just PSoC Programmer. The following Applications will be installed:

• PSoC Programmer
• Programming Software
• Clock Programmer
• Programming Software for Clock Devices
• Bridge Control Panel
• USB-I2C serial debugging software.

PSoC Programmer provides the user a hardware layer with API’s to design specific applications utilizing the programmers and bridge devices. The PSoC Programmer hardware layer is fully detailed in the COM guide documentation as well as example code across the following languages: C#, C, Perl, and Python.

Installation:

PSoC Programmer 3.10.1 is installed using the CyInstaller. Please review the release notes for more information regarding this new CyInstaller.

Prior to installing PSoC Programmer 3.10.1 the customer should uninstall PSoC Programmer 3.06.

PSoC Programmer 3.06 includes a Beta release of  Bridge Control Panel v1.0, while PSoC Programmer 3.10.1 contains the production release of Bridge Control Panel v1.0. The user should never have beta and production versions of the same software on the same computer. This will help eliminate conflicts between the two installations.

PSoC Programmer 3.10.1 will support both PSoC Creator and PSoC Designer in a single installation.

If user's experience any CyInstaller downloading issues due to internet restrictions or firewalls, please download the PSoC Programmer ISO image located in the downloads table below. The user will burn the ISO image to a CD and install PSoC Progarmmer from the CD.
