Capacitive sensing systems can be used in applications that are exposed to rain or water. Such applications include automotive applications, outdoor equipment, ATMs, public access systems, portable devices such as cell phones, PDAs, and kitchen and bathroom applications. This application article discusses using capacitive sensing in systems that must continue operating under moisture, rain or water drops.
