The HOTLink II(TM) family of physical layer (PHY) devices is a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications building block that provides serialization, deserialization, optional 8B/10B encoding/decoding and framing functions. It can transport serial data at rates from 195 Mbps to 1.5 Gbps per channel and is compliant with communication standards such as SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M, DVB-ASI, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and ESCON(R).
