Answer: Follow these steps to proceed with an application note project compatible with PSoC Creator 2.1 SP1:

1. Identify Device Architecture and Silicon Revision of PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 Devices
   • PSoC 3 – Production
   • PSoC 5LP – Production
   • PSoC 5 – ES1/Production
2. Review the compatibility matrix in the application note webpage to determine if the project supports your Device Architecture and Silicon Revision.
3. Download the PSoC Creator 2.1 SP1 project from the ‘Related Files’ section of the webpage and unzip to a target folder. The extracted folder may contain separate projects for PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 devices or a common project for both. Note that the projects compatible with PSoC 5 are available in the archive.zip folder.
4. Open the required project in PSoC Creator 2.1 SP1 using the menu Project > Device Selector in PSoC Creator (refer to the knowledge base article, Selecting the desired PSoC part number for your project in PSoC Creator). The following figure shows the device part number selected for PSOC 5LP.
