Cypress Semiconductor proactively manages Lead Free, RoHS, REACH and Halogen Free ("Green") programs to meet customer's requirements, as well as legislative requirements.

RoHS: Cypress Lead-Free semiconductor products and solutions meet the requirements of the RoHS 2002/95/EC directive and the China RoHS directive. These products, designated with an "X" at the end of the ordering part number, are RoHS 6/6 compliant, and do not contain the six restricted substances (Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Cadmium, PBB and PBDE) beyond the allowable limits. Cypress solutions such as development kits have an RoHS compliant symbol on the label or insert.

Cypress standard (Leaded) products are RoHS 5/6 compliant - they may contain traces of Pb in concentrations >1000ppm, but meet the allowable limits for the rest of the substances.

REACH: Most Cypress Lead-Free products and solutions are compliant with the REACH regulation no. 1907/2006/EC of the European Parliament and of the council of 13 Jan 2010 list of 29 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) materials. If a Cypress product contains an SVHC substance exceeding the 0.1% w/w, Cypress will disclose this information by part number upon customer request.

Cypress is an article producer (semiconductor product and solutions). Cypress does not manufacture in Europe and does not import chemicals into Europe. Cypress is not a substance or preparation producer per REACH definitions. Cypress is not required to pre-register with REACH.

Halogen Free ("Green"): A majority of Cypress's product portfolio is available in Halogen Free (Green) versions. Please contact your Cypress sales representative for additional information on status and availability by part number.

RoHS analysis data in IPC-1752 format and Package Material Declaration Datasheets ("PMDD") are available for download on the Cypress website www.cypress.com, in the "Technical Documents" section of the individual product pages.

Cypress manages a regular schedule to update the RoHS / REACH status of Cypress's product portfolio to the latest listing / batch of restricted substances and provides documentation of the most current analysis upon request.
