I was at the Open Source Hardware Summit in NYC this week where Jon Moeller introduced his freeSOC board. Find out more about the  freeSOC . If you like what you see, you can get one on his  Kickstarter  page.

Hello,

At most universities I visit I am asked when we will hold the next PSoC design contest. Well that time is now! In association with ARM and  EETimes, Cypress is sponsoring a Design Challenge that was annoucned at ARM Tech Con this week.

Details can be found here   .

Good Luck!

I will be traveling to Portsmouth New Hampshire next week for the Green Launch Plan conference to discuss how PSoC can play a role in new green intitatives and products. I will report on the conference on Tuesday.

Until Then,

C. U. Around

It has been a busy week starting Thursday Nov. 4th when I held a PSoC 5 workshop at San Jose State University for the student chapter of IEEE and robotics teams. On Friday, I was in Davis, CA at UC Davis (whose nickname is the Aggies) where I had meetings and presented two more PSoC 5 workshops as well as a quick tour of the winery where PSoC and CyFi are being used to automate and collect data during the fermentation process. At both universities many of the students commented on how much easier PSoC Creator is to use than some of the other design programs they have been working with.

As I write this I am on my way to Texas A&M (also nicknamed the Aggies) at College Station, to meet with professors and students and present the PSoC 5 story. Students at A&M have been using PSoC 1 for almost 4 years and they have been using CyFi as well as PSoC 3 in their projects.
