Hi All,

I just got back from Madrid where I made a new Amigo - Tio Gil ...

Gil is a talented field applications engineer who works for the Cypress Rep in Spain: Sensetronics.

Gil has built a PSoC 3 powered bot he calls "The Monster" or "El Bicho"

You can see it in action here

Enjoy!

I attended the FIRST Robotics supplier summit in Manchester New Hampshire.  It is where the suppliers meet to discuss how the contest can be improved for 2011. Here are some pictures of the event.

The FTK is installed in one of the control modules

Next trip is to NI Week in Austin Texas - until then

I attended the FIRST Robotics Finals in Atlanta last week. Amazing robots built by High School students in just 6 weeks or so. You can find out more about this at the FRC web site. Meantime here are some pictures.

The Cypress table just before the second day's exhibit opened.

FIRST Founder (and SEGWAY Scooter inventor) Dean Kamen speaking at the finals.

Beverly Hills High entry 1515. They controlled the robot with a touch screen and integrated the PSoC 3 FTK into the control module.

Those kids from 90210 are a lot smarter than they looked on TV!

One of six playing fields. The robots are ready to rock and roll!

Next year the finals are in St. Louis - maybe I'll see you there.

Until then,
