C.U. Around: Cypress University Program Blog
Oct 22, 2009

Spent most of this week in San Antonio at the FIE Conference. Over 500 professors from 41 states and 26 countries. I took PSoC over to the Alamo ...

Here are some other pictures from around the Alamo. It is much smaller than most people think! For those of you who do not know the story, the battle of the Alamo started the process of liberating Texas from Mexico in March 1836 The Texans lost that battle but ultimately triumphed over the forces of Generalissimo Santa Ana. The Alamo is the most visited tourist site in all of Texas.

And finally - Jim Bowie and his famous Bowie Knife

I am on my way to Texas for some PSoC workshops. Free internet on this flight so I am able to write this blog entry from 30,000 feet! Exciting day as Cypress has announced our new PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 platforms.  "We Change the Way YOU Change the World".  To learn more about the new platform visit us at www.cypress.com and stay tuned to the blog ...

I present many academic workshops each year. I get to meet a lot of professors and students in this way. It is interesting and I usually learn new things based on the questions I am asked. My last worskshop was at the MSE conference at the end of July. My next one is at ASU in 10 days.

Here Prof. Ted Kochanski of the University of New Hampshire is examining a PSoC 3 Development Kit at the MSE workshop. He will be using PSoC in a short course for the Boston IEEE this fall.

This is me getting ready to demonstrate the CY3271 First Touch Kit with CyFi.

If you are a professor (or a student who can get your professor's permission) who would like to evaluate this technology, visit us online at www.cypress.com/cua and fill out and submit the donation request form you will find there.

That's all for now - have a great weekend!
