The paper I wrote for FPT was regarding Partial Dynamic Reconfiguration in a PSoC device. I used a temperature compensated fan controller design originally designed by Dave Van Ess as the example. This design dynamically reconfigures the UART and TachTimer.

This is the demo table set-up. All of the other demos were Xilinx Virtex or Spartan.  If you want to know more about DYNAMIC RECONFIGRATION send me an email.

Below are some pictures of the demo session in full swing and the view from the deck outside the demo room looking down on the lower campus at UNSW

At the end of July Dr. Rabi Mahapatra of Texas A&M, a professor I have known and worked with for many years was in San Jose. He has been telling me about a new university he has founded in India in Bhubaneswar where he grew up: http://www.bit.edu.in/homepage.aspx

CUA signed an MOU with the university to provide PSoC kits and training. The students will start using PSoC to learn about digital and analog circuits as well as microcontrollers starting fall 2009.

If your school would like to use Cypress PSoC devices to teach principles of digital and analog circuits, microcontrollers, robotics, mechatronics etc. please visit us online at www.cypress.com/cua to learn details about the program.

Dave Van Ess and I spent some time in Austin at the American Society of Engineering Educators conference this summer. It was 0ver 100 Deg. F every day we were there. We spoke with over 100 educators and introduced them to the next generation of PSoC . Here is a picture of Dave showing one of the professors a PSoC Creator design. To get your own copy of PSoC Creator visit www.cypress.com/go/psoc3
