W. Steve Albrecht is an Andersen Alumni Professor of Accounting at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. He served as the associate dean of the school until July 2008. He is also a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, and certified fraud examiner. Dr. Albrecht is a past President of the American Accounting Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He was a former member of the Board of Regents of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Board of Directors of the Utah Association of CPAs. Dr. Albrecht is married and has six children.
