Embedded Image Support For Cypress Forums!

I was just thinking, embedded image support for the Cypress forums would be a huge advantage. When discussing technical issues, a picture speaks at least a thousand words. And it would break up large blocks of text and make topics easier to read.

Attaching an image is o.k., but is not displayed inline with the text and only allows you to upload one image.

I didn't know what category to post this in, so I thought this one suited best...

Yes, that would be a good idea to have a feature like that. There is a (by now a bit lengthy) thread named "The forum website" where we collected some of the whishes, suggestions and complains and as I've heard Cypress is busy to gather all of those to improve the forum-software.

I would like to have the edit feature first.

 And how it must work?

Does anybody have some ideas or examples?

Hey guys,

keep it coming, you are absolutely correct about the need to include pictures, to have an edit function, to be able to quote the previous poster's text, to delete your own posting, particularly when it is a double post.......

The more users state what is missing the more likely the Cypress employees who have been asking for the same changes will get the budget to fix the forum software.

I am serious, even "me too" posts can help to show the need for forum software change.

Robert

What if.... (unordered list)

What if Cypress collects openly from the forum-users their requrements for the software

What if Cypress tells us users more openly about their expected changes

What if Cypress starts a short poll (10 points, not more) about our favorite changes-to-come

What if Cypress has someone personally taking care for forum requrements (non-technical related)

What if Cypress cares for un-answered or unsolved questions in the forum

What if all the nessecary changes would not take THAT much time to start

What if? Well, I think we all (yes, Cypress included) would be much happier.

Robert,

Embedded images are highly desirable from usability point of view. Editing of post would come next for me.

I would say editing first as we can upload pictures now.

And a proper thread view, so we can see who answered to whom.

 For me it would :

  • Forum and topic 'watch' functions with realtime notifications.
  • Edit function
  • Embedded Images

A complete do-over of the forum software would be nice! I missed reading any of replies since my first post until now (I remembered I had made a post) because of the lack of a 'watch thred' option.

Aside from all the functionality issues, this forum doesn't look nice either :-)

I guess one of Cypress's biggest problems in that regard is how to keep/migrate all the info on these forums.
