that error message only tells the compiler has failed. Post the error messages up in the stack to find out the real reason for the failure.

BTW what library are you porting?

I remember having ported the adafruit library for the 5110 LCD and all that was needed was to change some variable types like uint8 instead of int_8 or byte

I am trying to use the tft 1.8" disply from adafruit using the AdaFruit_GFX.cpp and .h files and the Adafruit_ST7735.cpp and .h  all can be found at this site.  http://learn.adafruit.com/1-8-tft-display/downloads.  Also it doesn't show me any other errors.  Is there another place that shows the errors other than the bottom of the screen with the warnings and notes?

The Notice List window and the Output window should give you information about what went wrong. The item at the top of the list is the reaponsale for the compilation failure.

let me add some more info.  What it looks like I need is, is to know what the cypress equivalent to Arduino.h, limits.h, Print.h.  As for the SPI.h I will just need to adjust the file to use SPI_1.h that cypress autobuilds when you add a SPI.

I've just downloaded the libraries. I would rewrite the libraries in c but I guess the easiest way is to get PSOC creator to compile C++ code.

You can get some info about that in this thread http://www.cypress.com/?app=forum&id=2492&rID=77860

Also you will most likelly want to use the bit bang version and/or replace the hwspi version for PSOC functions.

there are ready equivalent for arduino.h or limits.h in PSOC creator. You will proably want to look into the code by the MSU team http://www.egr.msu.edu/classes/ece480/capstone/fall11/group01/index.html

well whats funny is I have used their stuff (Matts document) to get certain parts to work but using them I get this error I started this thread with.  When I look in the output section I get this as the error

arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe: tft: No such file or directory

I found what the problem was.  When I added the -I./lib to the command line in the comoplier section of the build settings, my Folder is Cypress tft.  I had to put it in as Cypress_tft
